Actually, the ML in #cDrama #SmileCode was emotionally damaged by childhood trauma but never an asshole. Unfortunately, they screwed the Drama in other ways, wasting a really well thought out and well acted OTP

It's VERY rare for me to drop as late as 31/34 but I just can't be bothered wading through any more of the pointless filler angst in #cDrama #SmileCode - A great OTP, but stupidly overlong & so filled with extraneous crud (and extraneous cruddy characters) that clouded and muddied a simple romance

Well, the #cDrama gods REALLY have it in for me tonight. After finishing #ThisThrivingLand where good, decent characters suffered while villains got off scot-free, I went back to #SmileCode and found More.Of.The.Same - worse yet, in this romance the angst and misery is just episode-count filler

I've FFd quite a lot of #cDRama #SmileCode but the OTP is so well-written it's worth it, it keeps pleasantly surprising me. As now, the OTP's first proper kiss looks headed for more intimacy until the drunk ML passes out. At which point a voice is heard clearly saying IN ENGLISH "oh, nice!" 😆

Wow! Watching episode 23/34 in #cDrama #SmileCode and a character not only mimics the action of dialling on a rotary phone but also the sound made when the dialler is released. I had no idea this story involved a time skip BACKWARDS 😁

One thing I like about #cDrama #SmileCode is that the ML is emotionally damaged, diagnosed with alexithymia from childhood trauma, but he is never a jerk. IOW, the classic stereotypical tsundere ML, but is NOT tsundere. Being emotionally stunted does not REQUIRE also being an anal sphincter

Oh, I don't think he's doing BAD in #SmileCode - the thoughtfulness and nuance of the OTP is the main reason I'm sticking with it. It's just that she's moved past 'idol' style shows to one where her looks are irrelevant. And acing it, imo

#PutYourHeadOnMyShoulder was a fave #cDrama for me (leads may be an IRL pair too😍) 6 yrs ago. it's interesting to watch both leads at the same time in 2 VERY different Dramas - the ML as ML in another romance #SmileCode, the FL as '2FL' in #ThisThrivingLand -she's tiny, but she's grown more imo
