The North Kansas City Snake Saturday Facebook Page published this photo of a large, homemade snake mascot, apparently covered with green fabric and dressed in kingly fashion, complete with a crown, purple robes, and gold braid. It has large eyes with vertical slit pupils and a long, red fabric tongue, and actually looks more friendly than evil.
Do you celebrate #SnakeSaturday? This day commemorates the legend of St. Patrick driving the evil (snakes) out of Ireland. Always the Saturday before #StPatrick’sDay, it’s become a big #festival in my home Kansas City Metro area.

#snakesaturday A ~2-yr. old L. t. triangulum w/ nary a smidgen of black & a partial striper & L. g. getula w/ nary a smidgen of white; it's a young lime green gun-blue/black one. Adults there are variable, standard B&W or no white & the "chain" & ventral patterns are entirely bright lime green! MD.
Going to do a few #snakesaturday blasts. Here is NJ 2023 w/ Robert "Bob" T. Zappalorti and some snakes we found together. Bob is the nicest guy. Generous and kind and way field savvy. I was just along for the ride; literally, Long-Covid prevents me from trusting myself to drive on roads w/ traffic.🐍

#snakesaturday Two L. t. triangulum from 10-meters apart, MD. They kept their colors from birth; brown stayed brown and red stayed red. Rarely here, around Washington, DC and in the SSE do you see many Y-shaped nuchal patterns. NNE and in the Midwest the Y-shape is much more typically observed.🐍

i know Caspian is a failed attempt at breeding a pure BEL, because he was steeply discounted and already 2yrs old when I bought him, but I think his butter-yellow coloring and markings are GORGEOUS and i wouldn't trade him for any other morph for real 🤍💛🤍

Just a close-up my son-in-law took of Hadrian. I don't like to play favorites, but this guy is just so amazing I can't help myself. His personality and disposition are so calming and peaceful, he's a refuge during some crazy times!

Like his owner, he LOVES this dragon. He will always go to her when he's on my desk. He will climb all over her and just settle in against her scales.
Wish I had a dragon too.
We are pleased as punch with our new Rosy boa. Unknown locale, but to us doesn't matter. He is an absolute joy to have.
