Should have made iris cut trough whole eye, i think i see a blob at the eye. First layers of PETG were also terrible but it managed. Made PETG support interface, but it would be better if whole support were petg. i will see more after i come home..

The enclosure of my Snapmaker Original (with the CNC engraving head installed), with an LED strip mounted below the working head that lights up the entire enclosure.
I have finally, FINALLY managed to get some pretty good lighting in my Snapmaker Original enclosure.
Unfortunately, it's attached to the CNC engraver head, so if I switch to the laser engraving head, it won't be there.
But it should help a little bit with my future projects.

First print of my #Snapmaker #U1 which arrived last night. It feels more like an appliance than a traditional 3D printer (I currently own a dozen other types), in the best way possible. Extremely easy to use, setup was quick, and I'm making a second color swapped print now straight from the printer!

Drei "Vasen" unterschiedlicher Qualität (vergleiche Post) auf meinem Schreibtisch. Im linken, schwarzen Exemplar sind deutlich horizinatale Risse und Aussparungen zwischen den Schichten zu sehen. Das mittlere Exemplar, ebenfalls schwarz, hat keine Risse, aber noch ungleichmäßige Schichten. Das rechte, weiße Exemplar hat ganz gleichmäßige Schichten, so dass es keine Lücken gibt. Im Hintergrund sind noch ein paar lilane Druckwerke zu sehen: Notizzettel-Halter und eine Schüssel mit mehreren Fidgets.
Wie beim ersten Bild, aber aus einem höheren Blickwinkel, sodass man ein wenig in die "Vase" schauen kann.
Die selben drei Vasen auf dem Fensterbrett mit Lichteinfall, so dass die Abstände zwischen den Schichten bei den schwarzen noch stärker zu sehen sind.
Auch hier noch einmal eine leicht veränderte Perspektive zum teilweisen Blick ins Innere.

I just had one of those #3dprinting "15 minutes of printing that took me 2 hours of disassembling the hotend to unclog it in the stove" moments. I suspect it's time to look at an #elegoo #centauricarbon or a #snapmaker #u1.
