#StampSaturday - This just in from Deutsche Post. Released 4 September as part of their TV hits series. I'm a big fan of many things German, great novel, great movie, great soundtrack. The stamp shows a TV screen showing a still of a U-boat running on the surface of the sea.

Portrait of King Baudouin of Belgium from the 60s, probably.

This is another "bog standard" stamp that introduced me to this fine hobby. It is from Belgium: King Baudouin "Marchand" Definitives, 1953-72). This is the 6F carmine red. Not sure which one I had as there are several types.

The 4 Schilling pink stamp from the Beautiful Austria series. Image shows the Almsee.

This is one of the stamps that got me into collecting. This is (ANK 1589, SCN 964, Mi 1430, Yvert 1259) and is part of Austria Post's "Beautiful Austria" definitive series. The stamp shows a view of the Almsee back from when stamp designers were allowed to show their craft.

A purple stamp from 1935 worth 4 cents. It says The State of North Borneo, British Protectorate. In the center of the stamp is a drawing of a proboscis monkey.
