CITY COUNCIL CHOSE TO PUT THE KARMAN LINE ANNEXATION TO A VOTE OF COLORADO SPRINGS
RESIDENTS
INSTEAD OF OVERTURNING THEIR DECISION TO ANNEX THE CITY WILL SPEND APROX $500K
FOR AN ELECTION ON JUNE 17TH
Reasons Beautiful Colorado Springs doesn't support this greenfield annexation growing Colorado Springs footprint
• Not a adjacent to the city
• Slow emergency response times that will further stretch police & fire departments
• High water use single family development
• Car-Focused - Residents will be required to drive increasing congestion, pollution and crashes
• Farmers downstream are worried about water going to this instead of farming
• Not enough density to support/ pay for infrastructure (roads, water, sewer, electric, police, fire)
• Development like this will cost Colorado Springs residents
