Our student employees and staff archaeologists heading out of our survey area in the Salamonie River State Forest, Indiana. Healthy Forest of deciduous trees surrounds a line of archaeologists and field gear hiking up the trail into the background.

Thanks to Ball State College of Sciences and Humanities for support & matching funds. More hands make light work, and all the support helps our #studentemployees prepare for successful careers!

We had lovely weather & scenery, which makes for a great time! #archaeology #HistoricPreservationFund 4/4

On Monday, AAL #studentemployees and staff started survey on our #HistoricPreservationFund investigation of a portion of Salamonie River State Forest. This is how Ball State University students learn about the work of professional #archaeology. 1/4

Today is #OneBallState day! Please consider donating to help lower barriers to #StudentEmployees doing #archaeology #fieldwork. #CRMArch can be challenging, but having the right gear shouldn't keep Ball State #students from #LearnWorkDiscover -ing! Any amount helps. #WeFly #ChirpChirp #ChertChert

Former #studentemployees Charity Munro (BA '18), Kaylee Ellrod (BA '18), and Eric Olson (MA '16), and former student and current AAL staff Chyan Gilaspy (BS '18) were all coauthors on respective publications. A #LearnWorkDiscover powerhouse! #archaeology #CRMArch #GPR #Morphometrics

Unfortunately, my preferred research topics are not “sexy” enough to regularly get funding, so we cobble together whatever projects we think we can get funding for. We emphasize projects that will provide CRM-like #archaeology training for our #studentemployees, but also other topics. 7/17

Our motto is #LearnWorkDiscover and we provide #ExperientialLearning for our #StudentEmployees so they graduate with real research and field experience. To keep the AAL funded, we secure service contracts (#CRMArch) and grants from various sources. This is where the #ADHD comes in handy. 4/17
