My #SundayPixSteps is the staircase in the new Würzburg Stadttheater. The sides of the staircase were made by a shipbuilder from Hamburg, apparently, as they have the skills required to form these huge sheets of metal.

A shot of a hillside in West Yorkshire. Leading the eye up and towards silhouetted bare trees is a barely visible trail. A couple of trees can be seen in the mid ground, either side of it. The steps have been fashioned out of the hillside itself. Every so often, there’s a slanted piece of wood that acts as a stay. Or did: Recent rains have turned the ground muddy, and, with use of the trail, has meant the stays have come loose and appear at rickety angles. The crown of trees atop the path stand skeletally against grey skies. Light was fading. By the time I reached the road, street lights were on.
