We can see the 22 degree sundog on the right (there was one on the left but it faded before I got to take a pic). Then there is a faint 22 degree halo with brightening at the top which I think is an Upper Tangent arc. #NCwx #Sundog

Faint high altitude clouds also streak the sky and the sun is reflected in the river.
I was heading to downtown Wilmington, NC which is along the Cape Fear river. Spotted a bright rainbow-ish spot a little ways to the right of the setting sun and was pretty sure it was a Sundog optical phenomenon. Hustled down to the River front saw this beautiful sight. #WX #NCwx #sundog
