#OverSeaUnderStone by #SusanCooper is a 1965 childrens mystery that would be categorized as middle grade today. The book has some charm within the children's sense of wonder but has dated stereotypical dialogue and structure.

If there's anyone with children who wants something other than Harry Potter to read with their children, I highly recommend #TheDarkisRising series by #SusanCooper.
It's the series that introduced me to fantasy. It also has a boy who one day finds out he is far more than he ever thought.
