#OTD January 19 1944, the third and #Unryu-class aircraft carrier, Katsuragi #葛城 was launched at #Kure Naval Arsenal. Although she was completed in October of 1944 she never embarked an #IJNAS air group or left Japanese waters. She was lightly damaged in the #TF38 raids on Kure in 1945. 1/2
