⚠️Residents will notice smoke from the Mount Rose area this week. Do not be alarmed, it is prescibed burning operation by HumboldtToiyabe US Forest and #TMFR Fire Crews. Motorists will see smoke in the roadways at about the 7,000 ft level near the Reindeer Lodge.
⚠️Overnight, #TMFR Firefighters knocked down a fully involved travel trailer on the 200 block of Quartz Ln in Sun Valley. Unknown cause. No injuries reported and no further spread.
Approximately 730pm this evening, #TMFR Firefighters quickly knocked down a garage fire on Smokey Canyon Dr. in Sun Valley. Fire confined to garage - cause is electrical related. No resident displacement and no injuries reported.

⚠️This morning just before 8am, #TMFR firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 5300 block Malinda Way in Sun Valley with a quick knockdown. Structure was vacant. No injuries reported and cause under investigation.

#TMFR Engine 40 joined families and neighbors at the Verdi Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival — one of the community’s favorite traditions! Our firefighters enjoyed connecting with residents, sharing safety tips, and soaking up the autumn spirit. 🎃🍂
Progress is being made on a wildland fuels reduction project in the Verdi area under utility infrastructure, which aims to reduce the threat of wildfires and improve roadway access for service vehicles, performed by #TMFR crews and private contractors.
Tuesday, 9/30 is the last day to sign up for #TMFR FREE Curbside Chipping open. The program is only for disabled, low-income, and elderly individuals and is intended to assist residents who cannot travel to chipping locations. Details bit.ly/3KwqOrv
