For the fourth consecutive year, the ATHENS course "Spanish Economy and Navigation in the 15th to 18th Centuries" is being held at the ETSI Navales (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) from March 17th to 21st and will be attended by 25 students from ten nationalities and eight European Universities: Technische Universität München, Istanbul Technical University, National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Czech Technical University in Prague , Delft University of Technology, ParisTech and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The ETSI Navales professors involved are Rodrigo Pérez, Rafael d'Amore, Javier Calderón, José Ignacio Parra, and David Díaz, as well as Alberto Camarero from the ETSI Caminos (UPM), along with several students. The external faculty members are Jesús Valle, Luis Vilches, Diego Fernández Casado, Ángel Fernández, and Jaime Pérez.
