Tarkus by Emerson Lake and Palmer
Released 14 Jun 1971, #Tarkus by ELP. Side 1 featured the 20-minute conceptual title track written by Keith Emerson, the opening of which created friction between Lake and Emerson that almost split the group, but Lake agreed to pursue it and contributed musical ideas for it and wrote the lyrics.

Fun fact, I was at this show and my whistle made it to the album. Floor seats about 12 rows from the stage in front of Emerson. The boys were at their peak in my opinion.

1970s #ProgRock album art was often #abitdodgy in contrast to the high quality musicianship. #Tarkus (1971 #EmersonLakeAndPalmer) is a poorly realised #concept. I had #Googlevertex #AI have a try but the results are a little dreary. Maybe that whole #nomansland aspect skewed the result #armadillo

I played it few weeks back and really liked it.
