I'm pretty sure I watched Taz-Mania as a kid, but I'd completely forgotten all about it after so many years. It wasn't until I was browsing around some art site when I learned of some character named Digeri Dingo. I thought he looked cool, so I decided to track down some episodes to check him out. Amusingly, while I certainly found him cool, Mr. Thickly quickly became my favorite. In fact, he pretty much became the sole reason I continued watching... and why I got rather disappointed when he stopped appearing as much in the later episodes (with him even referencing this at one point, no less). As for the character, himself? It's been a while, but I remembered him being quite kind. Perhaps a little arrogant, given the fact he's far from an expert on anything (I do recall he claimed he knew the outback like the back of his hand, and then he and another character immediately got lost), but he still tends to be really good natured and the kind of guy you find difficult to hate. I do recall he became Taz's best friend after a while, and the two would often hang out... which, half of the time, led Taz into some sort of trouble (like the time Mr. Thickly insisted he was a martial arts expert, too, and he tried to teach Taz some moves... and it went about as well as you'd expect).
Next up, a 2012 drawing.
Mr. Thickly! He's from Taz-Mania, a cartoon spinoff based around the Tasmanian Devil that aired in the 90's. He's the local expert of all things Tazmania... er... or so he claims, anyway. 😅
