The #TehranConference began on #ThisDayInHistory in 1943. The first #BigThree meeting of #Stalin, #Churchill, and #FDR, it committed the US & UK to opening a second #WWII front in the west. The location was seen as safe because of the joint Anglo-Soviet invasion of #Iran in 1941.
