On one hand, #TheJetty is pretty much like every other British cop drama/miniseries. Great cast, good acting, paint by numbers plot, & all executed in roughly six episodes. On the other, this is the first one that actually surprised me with its resolution. Worth a watch. 4/5π

I suspect #JennaColeman's #TheJetty has received such unfounded negative reaction not because it's dark, or "northern", or it's a complex plot & story structure, but because the reaction has been fuelled by female characters asking pointed, painful questions of its male audience #MeToo #AllWomen
