Although I can’t remember specific scenes of it now, I’ve seen it in quite a few dramas. I’m pretty sure it’s in #LoveLiketheGalaxy & #TheLongBallad - but it’s been in a ton of others too 🙂

In contrast to the FL, younger sister Leyan is strong and perseveres in a very feminine way. She cares, she gives, she loves, she adapts, she survives. I *love* that.

I just finished my first one recently. I rated #TheLongBallad 9/10, actually, with Leo Wu as her co-star. (Zhao Lusi's role was my favorite because she got to be femme and bad-ass, not just masc and bad-ass like Dilraba's character.)
(This is a hoot.) You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who's coming to save you? Just rewatched #TheLongBallad with massive skipping to fave bits. Woo hoo I get the entire Eagle Division led by Ashile A'Sun. Mission accomplished!

Actually I could relate to all couple and characters and thats rather rare for my experience. I loved the look&costumes from main couple but agree LYN look was underwhelming. His character development was just spot on! I love dramas with
…his acting really shone through and the ways his expression and eyes softened toward his love interest revealed an adorable puppy energy that is a surprising contrast to his entire stern character up until he falls for her. I actually DID watch #TheLongBallad just for LYN. Prob won’t watch it again
Right? Yes, it’s so interesting to see ancient sports played in their domestic context (cuju in #TheLongBallad & jiju in #Minglan) - especially as it gives a sense of how universal sport is across the world
In the case of these two examples it’s also a rich environment to observe social subtexts
Thanks for your research! It's sad it's not more often involved in cdrama stories. I love if they show games competitions like in #TheLongBallad or here in Minglan.

I loved it, but it’s a wuxia drama so you don’t get to see Lusi display her emotional sensitivity, as in #HiddenLove & #LovesAmbition
Her serious historical dramas are worth a watch too - #LoveLiketheGalaxy & #TheLongBallad are strong performances

I’m watching #TheLongBallad & I gotta say, they saved so much money by not having people spit fake blood MOST OF THE TIME! They also saved filming costs by cutting key high budget action to Reading Rainbow level still animations SOMETIMES with a live action actor just c&p on top of the illustration
Yes yes but have you seen #MyJourneytoYou? He's 2nd ML and stole the show with his 2nd FL #LuYuxiao. They were so much more watchable than the more famous lead actors, even as Liu Yuning and Zhao Lusi were in #TheLongBallad. Their acting as well as their characters.
