Textbeschreibung: Titel: Kleines Oberösterreich-Wörterbuch Stichwort: „Wös“ Beschreibung: Der Begriff „Wös“ klingt laut Text wie ein Fisch, ist aber in Wirklichkeit eine umgangssprachlich-humorvolle Bezeichnung für die Stadt Wels, die zweitgrößte Stadt Oberösterreichs nach Linz. Der Bezirk wird ebenfalls „Wös Laund“ genannt. In Österreich nimmt Wels größenmäßig Platz 8 ein. Zudem wird spekuliert (ironisch oder ernst gemeint), dass Wels Austragungsort des ESC 2026 sein könnte.
