Think speak plot, showing the inverse relationship between barometric pressure and altitude

Altimeter accuracy confirmed. topo map gives this pass at 580 feet, altimeter logged it at 582.5.

It runs and plots this formula, flashed via #Arduino_IDE :

h = 44330 * [1 - (P/P₀)^(1/5.255)]

Altitude also plotted on #ThingSpeak, using phones hotspot.

Today I learned that #Thingspeak handles #MQTT with #API, and this radically simplifies my automation tech stack.

Screenshot of my Thingspeak dashboard: it displays a thermometer (84. deg F) and hygrometer (45%). Also included are two 7 day graphs of data, collected by a web-connected ESP32 with sensors.

Sometimes, you just have to build a better thermometer. So, I present to you a very rough around the edges temp/humidity sensor, lives in my garden, sends temp and humidity readings to the web.
