A detailed and artistic stylised drawing in pen and watercolour (I think) of a band of rugged neanderthals struggling through fallen trees which form a kind of frame at the bottom of the image. One tall man stand stoically facing to the left. He wears a heavy leather-and hide pullover. His jaw is bearded, his nose is large and his brow is heavy. He has long and tangled reddish-brown hair and pale skin. He wields a heavy bone in his hand like a weapon. Another is crouched down in front of him. This man has dark hair but otherwise is of the same cut as the first. A third man pushes in behind the first. He also has long brown hair. He has a moustache and beard and looks perhaps a little younger than the first two. He carries a fire hardened wooden spear in one hand and a heavy bone in the other and a fur mantle around his shoulders. In the background to the left three more similar men come on behind. The whole scene is cut off square at the bottom and sides but the weapons protrude over this edge for artistic effect, and the background is white.
