Many hunters along #UndercliffPath east of #Brighton at low tide today which is a good sign that even this part of #underwaterSussex is beginning to thrive again after the #TrawlerBan just 4 years ago. Without good "pickings" 8 #LittleEgret, 1 #GreyHeron & 2 #GreySeal would not be there!

Only less than 4 years after the #TrawlerBan along the #SussexCoast marine life from Kelp to Dolphin is fast returning to our waters benefitting everyone, even local fishermen! It's an absolute no-brainer to ban this destructive & wasteful way of sea harvesting!
2021 #TrawlerBan is in place in Sussex due to Eric Smith, who as free diver since young boy, noticed the devastating damage bottom trawling did, ripping up whole kelp forests & crushing vast acreage of marine life. Started campaign 25 yrs ago w/ some help form us we now have the ban! Don't give up!
