“False Prophets and the Will of Man” Scripture says, “Prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:21). Yet today many voices—whether NAR apostles, nationalist preachers, or power-hungry movements—speak their own will and call it the word of the Lord. They twist prophecy into politics, trade revelation for influence, and preach a gospel of control instead of the cross. Peter warned, “There will be false teachers among you… in their greed they will exploit you with fabricated stories.” (2 Peter 2:1-3). True prophecy exalts Christ; false prophecy exalts men. When we replace humility with pride and prayer with power, we lose the Spirit’s voice. Return to the Word, not the will of man.
