Tube experiment time again. This time a driver stage for an SE power amp. I'm measuring at 65Vp out. Again spice did not predict the best operating point... The lowest THD I saw was 1.17%, but it looks nicer at 1.57% (pictured). The tube is a 6EA7/6EM7 TV vertical tube. #TubeAudio #DIY

The new operating points of the input stage, did improve matters - slightly...
4% THD at 1W output isn't exactly great. But compared to 0.14W at 1% THD it is an improvement. Distortion halved in round numbers. So it's not just the input stage that was causing the issues.

Got the schematic for this project drawn, as the parts are starting to assemble themselves...
It's point to point wired - it's only the heater supply from the previous post, that's on a PCB. Does it work? Time will tell ;)

Time for some weekend DIY... Another amp project coming along. Some parts near the edge of the board, need a bit of cooling. So I have a small heatsink for that - that I forgot to add the space for on the top plate 🤬
That's what happens when you work on projects on and off for months ;)
