It took quite a while, but in the end I've moved five of my sites, three of which I started writing at in 2005! They are all now running on #WordPress hosted over on DreamHost.

Tomorrow, 30th Sept, #TypePad shuts down after 21 years. For me, it was home 2004–2006, and later an archive that continues today on WordPress. Its closure marks the end of an era in #blogging.

So now I've moved on to looking at #DreamHost, which again looks to be about $150/year for unlimited sites (after the discounted first year)… and.. they DO support #IPv6 🎉
But I’m not sure if they are the best provider for what I want to do.

#typepad have an export but that's just blog post and comment text. There's no download for assets, images etc, but you can request. You think they'd have made a full exporter ready for this announcement at least...
