A photo of a bridge over a road. On the side of the bridge are a total of 9 signs, four of which are green arrows paired-up with street name signs or very faded US Route 78 shields. The two street name signs on the left direct drivers towards Park Avenue while the two US Route 78 shields on the right direct drivers to stay on US Route 78. In the middle is a sign telling drivers that the bridge is only 13 feet and 10 inches above the surface of the roadway.
A close-up of the side of the bridge showing the two very faded & vintage US Route 78 shields, which have faded to the point where the lines and lettering of the shields were is just slightly lighter than the surrounding shield. These ones are rather vintage, dating back to the classic design which featured the state name in the "crown" of the shield above the numbers, which, on these, say "TENN-US" for Tennessee and the United States due to being within the state of Tennessee.

I'm happy to report that, as of yesterday afternoon, this pair of vintage (and extremely worn-out) US 78 shields in Memphis, TN, still stand!

@showmeasign.online Before and after of the signage at the roundabout at US 72/MS 7 in northern Mississippi. Clearly someone at MDOT thought the original arrows weren't good enough!

A photo showing two highway shields mounted underneath a junction banner, abbreviated as "JCT", on a metal pole next to a road. The one on top is a shield for US Route 31A, the one on the bottom is a shield for US Route 41A.

NGL, I do love how US 31A and US 41A are concurrent between Nashville and Kirkland, TN.
