#OpenScience NEEDS #opensearching as in #OpenAlex but our #OpenSearch landscape is complicated by #AI-powered tools such as #Undermind, #Perplexity and #OpenEvidence.

#PubMed & #GoogleScholar are still key to Open Science, and #Medline has been destabilized by AI, unfortunately.

I was impressed with the breadth of #Undermind but I just meant the waiting is a drawback. Quick lookups, needle-in-a-haystack and browsing searches are better performed at GS. Congrats by the way for getting interviewed!🌎

Thinking about a follow up editorial, "How Google Scholar Can Survive the AI Revolution". One thing the Nature article doesn't mention is you WAIT MINUTES to get an answer from
#Undermind also #ConsensusAI, #perplexity, #openevidence ALL have similar drawbacks we see in other AI tools. #ChatGPT
