The 12 December marks #UniversalHealthCoverageDay. Promoted by the World Health Organisation, it calls for all nations to provide affordable healthcare to their citizens. The UK offers free healthcare since the founding of the NHS on 5 July 1948, which this Nursing Times article reflects on.
