This was the previous 1960s cars-cars-cars avenue du Parc/avenue des-Pins interchange before its modern rebuilding that allowed pedestrians and bicycles to also cross it.
It was theoretically possible to traverse it by foot, but you still had to ask yourself, "Am I feeling lucky?"
