40 years ago today, 12/10/85, while onboard the USS Saratoga w/ my F-14 Tomcat squadron VF-103, we crossed the equator & I went from being a Pollywog to becoming a Shellback after the wacky ceremony. I was 20 & the hospital corpsman (medic) for my squadron, The Sluggers.
