I’m very happy with it, it’s a beautiful story. This draft is just short 60k words. I’m going to take a couple days to relax and write something fun, then go back through Dragonson to get it ready to #query again.

I edited another chapter of #VeinsofRain today, added about 800 words, and I combined two chapters into 1. I also changed the location of the climax. That will take a lot of edits, but it increases the tension, adds action, and makes it more personal.

Today I wrote 558 words in #VeinsofRain. I’ve been figuring out how to write this scene for more than a week now so it feels good to write it out. Korbak is dealing with a lot of emotions. He very much believes he is right, but those he trusts most are telling him he’s wrong. #writingupdate #writers
I edited 1 chapter of #VeinsofRain today. It’s a heavy one, where an addict confronts someone they abused. I think it works pretty well, but I’ll undoubtedly have to adjust some things once I get feedback from my writing group.
