Resource of the day. Virtual Field Trips: Stress Management and Coping. With specific strategies tailored to each division, the Virtual Field Trips (developed in partnership with School Mental Health Ontario) help introduce healthy stress management and coping skills that can be used by students, educators, and other school community members! Each lesson has three components that tie directly into the curriculum: a minds-on activity, a pre-recorded virtual field trip session that introduces stress management strategies, and a consolidation activity. Lesson plans cover these topics related to stress management and coping: Breathing Strategies; Muscle Relaxation Strategies; Thought-changing Strategies; Gratitude Strategies; Distraction Strategies; Visualization Strategies.
