I'm so fucking mad at the Nintendo Switch Virtual game card update. I have a situation where I share an account with a friend who is long distance. We both buy games on the account so that we can both play them. We can't meet up to sync the switches or whatever because we live far away from each other. This update has completely ruined this situation that has been working fine for us. This is just like how companies like Netflix cracked down on password sharing. It's corporate greed disguised as ease of use and it pisses me off. Except here, instead of a single subscription that's like $10 a month, it's individual games worth hundreds of dollars collectively.

It looks like license sharing, but you could already functionally do what Virtual Game Cards do by having your account on multiple consoles. Unless I'm mistaken, Nintendo is reinventing the wheel.
