Photograph taken crouched down behind a clump of lovely pink cyclamen, looking towards the Tudor Masterpiece of Little Moreton Hall in Cheshire. Didn't think I'd manage the double whammy of historic house and signs of spring, but never say never!
Deep blue sky with some winter tree skeleton branches at either side. In the centre of the top half of the frame is a largeTudor house (built between 1504 and 1610). Lots of elements of the house are wonky, mostly because the owners decided they wanted a bigger house so plonked on an additional storey...not the brightest idea and I imagine the architects at the time being at their wits end. Green lawn leading up to the house and at the bottom of the image a large clump of small pink cyclamen. On the right hand side is a group of two adults and a child heading towards the entrance. One of them is wearing a pink coat which echoes the flower colour well.
Little Moreton Hall, and some others well managed by the National Trust, are starting to open their doors again after winter shut down for conservation work. This place had only been open a few days so visitors were giddy to be able to enjoy exploring again...the sunshine helped too!
