Happy New Year! Onwards to new beginnings in 2026!

2025 wasn't my most productive, but hey, I finally completed my Unovadex in Pokemon Masters, so I'll have more free time now!
I already have plans, so productivity will be my New Year's resolution! What's yours?😄

As of today, I have officially collected every single Unova sync pair in #PokemonMastersEX ( #pmex #pokemas ), currently totalling to 76 pairs of trainer & Pokemon.

I started this back when the Unova Villain Arc was going on. Now I can solely focus on new ones. #UnovaForSmash #VoltSwitchMovement

I wonder how successful a live orchestra concert that's a medley of these three #Nintendo games' OSTs would be.

Would you guys go watch it? I know I most CERTAINLY would. 🤩

A collage of images on top of a render made in MikuMikuDance.
The text at the top reads "Happy new year 2025!" in yellow, except for 2025 which is in light green with "Year of the snake" written in the same color underneath it.

The scene consists of an Emolga on the left getting visibly angry at a Snivy on the right, who looks away and tries to shoo off the former as if she's not worth her time, while the Emolga looks like she's screaming at her with eyes especially angry as if tired of her shi, arms raised as if shouting after a shrug in an almost mocking fashion. The two models are from Pokken Tournament, and there's a lightning from the Team Plasma versus screen in Pokemon Black/White linking the eyes of the two to show their dislike of eachother.
They are on a rough, technological stadium with hard floor called Stormship Stadium, with a soccer goal visible in the background.

The collage is split into two sides. On Emolga's left is a text saying "2024 retrospective" with the logos of Bluesky on its right and former Twitter on its left, and below it are pictures from across the account's past history on both sides in a L formation around Emolga. (anniversaries of games, days of characters and franchises, holidays, pictures featuring the account OC "Volty the Emolga", and account owner Extremmefan's PMEX profile pic)
On Snivy's right is a collage of sprites of Sync Pairs from the mobile game Pokémon Masters EX, more specifically every single unit obtained by the account over the year, with a text under Snivy with an arrow pointing at them that says "PMEX pals I got this year". These include Brycen-Man, Queen Bellelba of the Land of Enchantment, Neo Champions Cheren and Bianca, Subway Bosses Ingo and Emmet as well as the former's Tea Time alt, N in his Summer kimono, Shauntal in her Froslass Halloween outfit, Hilda in her Poké War Games princess garb, and Hilbert and Hilda with icons of Glaceon and Leafeon above them. These along with the text form a reverse L.

Happy #NewYear 2025!
Year of the Snake, I guess, but Emolga and Snivy don't get along much. '^^

The MMD art is an obscure reference for sure, but I liked doing it purely from memory. I miss the Wii, man... 😔
Onto another exciting year, on bluer skies now!

A splash screen mimicking official ones from Smash Ultimate, with a higher saturated version of Emolga's render from Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity and the epsilon symbol designating Echo Fighters next to the fighter number of 08 which is Pikachu's.

A content pack for Emolga in Smash Ultimate, using a render by TheAdorableOshawott.
Its stage is the Glacier Palace from PMD3 Gates to Infinity.
Its Classic mode route is called "Cute but not harmless!" and features Yoshi as the first round, Kirby as the second, Toon Link as the third, Duck Hunt as the fourth, Villager and Isabelle as the fifth, and a horde battle against the other small Pokemon (Pikachu, Pichu, Jigglypuff, Squirtle) as the sixth, with Marx as the end boss.
Its music selection contains a unique victory fanfare based off the "Victory! (Trainer)" tune from the Pokémon maingames, and individual tracks such as a remixed "Theme of Hope" & "Hazy Pass" & Bittercold's second phase (used for the Classic boss) and a Great Glacier medley from PMD3, the Trainer battle theme and a remix of N's final battle from Black/White, a remix of the Champion Iris battle theme from Black 2 & White 2, and a medley of the Cove Area locations's tunes from PokéPark 2.
A small segment of the "music" selection is cut off to showcase its palettes, with its regular coloration, a shiny alt, a red alt swapping out the default's yellow, a blue alt inspired by a scalchopless Oshawott, a green alt inspired by Snivy, a dark alt inspired by Zorua, a "Shadow Pokemon" alt inspired by Shadow Lugia, and a monochrome alt.

Its spirit selections contains the Novice spirits of Pokémon like Minccino, Tepig, Snivy, and Dunsparce, the Advanced spirits of Pokémon like Zorua, Umbreon and Espeon, the Ace spirits of notable maingame Pokémon Trainers like N and Iris in her Champion outfit, and a Legendary spirit depicting the Bittercold who is the final boss of PMD3.

An Emolga model posed in MikuMikuDance in an attempted replication of Pikachu's render from Super Smash Bros Brawl.
The arms and stubby feet are not in the exact position due to anatomical differences but are close enough to see the ressemblance, and its expression takes the creative liberty of making Emolga wink with its right eye looking closed while openly smiling lightly.

(regarding Emolga as the account's face & #VoltSwitchMovement)
While in part serving to mirror Pikachu being the face of official Pokemon accounts, as Emolga is its unique Unova equivalent, this acc was also formerly "EmolgaForSmash", which was exactly what you'd expect from the name. #UnovaForSmash

Content pack concept:
Pokemon Professor.
3 stances to master!

Each starter can be taken separately, or work as a team like Pokemon Trainer.
Snivy's a rushdown comboer, Tepig's tanky and hits hard, Oshawott is all-around with disjoints.

(Our past collages from the "other site" on 2019, 2020, and 2022.
The references are aplenty~ from PMD Gates and Pokemon Colosseum/XD, to DDLC, to a lot of Mario-inspired looks. Can you guess all of them? ;))

With this being a fresh start, now's a good time for me to post this #UnovaForSmash elevator pitch I made back in late March of 2020, detailing most of my argument for a Unova #Pokemon in #SuperSmashBros at the time.

No images in it to illustrate my points, tho. Sorry. 😅

A little bit of extra account identity, meet the two main "characters" we will use on here:
Our mascot Volty the NetNavi Emolga,
and our admin's self-insert, Kiwami the Hybrid Paradox.

Two chroniclers of history, from different branches of Pokémon's timeline~
