Am WE war die #Gorch_Fock zu Besuch in #Whv. Neben vielen Gästen war auch unser #Seebär an Bord & hat dem Kommandanten, FKpt Bornkessel, für die Reise ein Bild der SMS Stein, Segelschulschiff der #Kaiserlichen_Marine, überreicht. Seebär wird nun die Gorch Fock begleiten & über seine Reise berichten.

So erwarb Preußen das Gebiet des heutigen #WHV & baute dort nach Plänen von Gotthilf Hagen einen #Kriegshafen. Dafür erhielt Oldenburg v.a. eine monetäre Entschädigung. 1869 war der 1. Bauabschnitt fertig
