Hive mind: I'm thinking about bringing back my New Year's Eve broadcast, where at 9 p.m. Dec. 31 we pretend it's 1965 at WRCT and I play the top 40 along with vintage commercials and news.

Anyone interested? It's a lot of work but I sort of miss doing it.

#WHUS changed my life. I must have first been aware of it through fellow E.O. Smith students who had shows. It became a constant companion through my teen years. Later, I was on the air on #WECS Willimantic and #WRCT Pittsburgh. Now the next generation is on #WPTS Pittsburgh!

Although his records were banned on WRCT 88.3FM (and most other stations) in the 1950s, Tom Lehrer made at least one Pittsburgh appearance — at Carnegie Library of #Pittsburgh Music Hall on Thanksgiving Weekend in 1957.
