I found an Android weather app that looks like Google made it — only better Weather Master is a brilliant weather app for Android users seeking a similar feel to Pixel Weather but with froggie as an added bonus.

Always on the lookout for a good weather app. I really like the Pixel Weather (app only available on Pixel devices) but Google can't seem to get it locked and stable. This is very similar and allows you to choose sources like Today Weather does.

Selfie taken in my garden. I look a bit constipated, which is my regular selfie look. Hell, I am 63; it's a wonder I can take them at all. My winter beard is scraggy, and almost completely white these days/years. The hair on top looks greyer in the sun than it does inside; well, that's my excuse, but at my age I'm happy enough I still have most of it. My friend Renata cut my hair ultra short at the start of January, so it's fairly civilised looking. It needs a wash though. (Living alone can make you sloppy, when it comes to those kinds of things.) For the rest, what's there to say? A pretty average face, I guess, the parts not hidden by the awful beard. Well, I'm used to it anyway, and the cat doesn't seem to mind much.

The weather forecast for the next two weeks. Only the first two nights -1C/30.2F but during the day, in the next seven days it will go from 9C/48.2 to 14C/57.2. There will be sun for all but two days. Which is pretty wild. Yes, it is pretty horrible how climate change is being ignored by almost all the governments of the rich to fairly rich countries, and things will not end well at all, I fear - but I am still going to enjoy sitting in the sun.

The first day of sitting outside*, this calendar year, and not the last one, in the next two weeks, if the weather app is right - and it sometimes is.

Yah, I'll cut the winter beard tomorrow.

*some eight hours ago, mind you.
