I don't find DDG nearly as good for web search as I used to. But one cool thing about it, is that I can use it to conveniently search using other services, using "bangs".

For example if I type "!w" in my search query, it's redirects to Wikipedia and their internal search. "!fsd" similarly […]

Quand l’IA transforme la recherche en circuit fermé… Petite réflexion sur l'évolution de Gemini face au moteur de recherche traditionnel de Google. Si Google pouvait (légitimement à mon avis) avoir peur des IA génératives comme un outil pouvant à terme leur fermer le robinet de la pub et de la "pompe à clic" hautement rémunératrice, ils ont avec Gemini réussi à transformer l'essai voir demain une partie de le Business Model, mais cela ne se fera pas sans casse...

I’d been happily using #Kagi for a couple years but the ick got too much and I switched to #DuckDuckGo a few months ago. The results are terrible. Anyone got any other recommendations for #WebSearch? #Ecosia seems to use Google which I’d prefer not to use.
