NCLAT stays CCI ban on WhatsApp, Meta evaluates next steps (Lead)
New Delhi, Jan 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) Mark Zuckerberg-run Meta on Thursday said it welcomes the decision of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) to stay the ban imposed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on WhatsApp and will evaluate next steps. The CCI had imposed a five-year ban on WhatsApp for its data-sharing practices. “We welcome the NCLAT’s decision to grant a partial stay on the Competition Commission of India’s (CCI) order,” said Meta spokesperson in a statement, shared with IANS.
