The fern room of the Montreal Botanical Garden's greenhouse, complete with artificial waterfall and creek.
Bulbophyllum purpureorhachis, a plant in the orchid family with a feather-shapped, leathery, wine-red stem that twists as it grows. It has a row of tiny button-like flowers in the same colour that seem to march up the middle of each side of the stem. Delightfully weird.
Tillandsia ionantha, a spiky and very colourful air plant with green and fushia leaves and long, skinny, purple blooms.
I just love visiting the botanical gardens in winter. The smell of soil and the tropical air in my lungs are so restorative! #WinterHacks #Botany #Plants
