In SoCal we get DROUGHTS from CLIMATE CHANGE causing HUGE FIRES. I'll take a weak shower so that we can have the water reservoirs filled RATHER THAN DUMPED and can put out fires like #palisadesfire & #woolseyfire BOTH OF WHICH ALMOST BURNED MY HOME DOWN.

A hill that has been burned to blackness looms behind a neighborhood of houses snuggled into rocky hills. All of the home are fine and avoided being singed. Green trees still cluster around them.
Still think about 4 AM alert for #WoolseyFire 2018. My husband barely out of hospital. Car pre-packed "in case". Nobody in our neighborhood thought it would jump the 101.
At 4 AM the embers danced over us as we drove away. Against all odds our neighborhood was saved. Hugs to all survivors. #fireaid

Ridiculous fear mongering. Don't get me wrong, the #PalisadesFire and #EatonFire are devastating, but apparently everyone has forgotten about the #WoolseyFire and the #SepulvedaBasinFire that nearly took down The Getty.
Stay safe. Follow evacuation orders as soon as you get them. DON'T PANIC.

I am so deeply indebted to the incredible firefighters who literally saved our house during the #WoolseyFire. My parents are safe. Below is video from our neighbors of our yard catching on fire - we are so very lucky that firefighters were there to put it out.

#WoolseyFire smoke report from #Pasadena: this AM - barely noticeable, some discoloration of the horizon sky; this afternoon - the odor, in trace amounts, arrives and the sunshine has a yellowish tint; now - hazy sunset, stronger smell, burning eyes.
