1. Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Emily Nagoski, PhD, Amelia Nagoski, DMA. Note: Great book about the Fem perspective of burning out. I rec it regardless of your gender identity.
2. Move Fast. Break Shit. Burn Out.: The Catalyst's Guide to Working Well by Shannon Lucas and Tracey Lovejoy. Note: If you're ADHD or Autistic, this one is stellar. It helps to realize you're not alone in how you view work.
3. The Grind Culture Detox by Heather Archer. Note: This book does such a good job breaking down how racism and slavery have led America to a toxic, extractive, exploitative work culture. A must read!
4. Laziness Does Not Exist by Devon Price. Note: Great book if you struggle to relax and unwind because your mind is nagging you to be productive. Rest is resistance!
5. Self-Care for Autistic People: 100+ Ways to Recharge, De-Stress, and Unmask! by Megan Anna Neff. Note: If you're ND at all this is a must read. This is an awesome guide on how to regulate your body. If you're ND your nervous system needs attention. Learning to get out of fight or flight is critical for healing from burnout!
