This week we're sharing our last blog about a group of munitions workers charged with a theft from a local shop in 1917. Each one had to face the consequences of their actions in court. This week's blog is about Ellen Doran.

On this month (February) in 1917, The Dumfries & Galloway Standard reported on a theft that saw a group of munitions workers steal some honey, cheese, corn beef and Worcestershire sauce from a local Gretna shop. πŸ§€πŸ―

They all had to face the consequences of their actions.

Of course things settled down a bit for James Auld after that...

He only seems to appear in newspapers for two different careless driving incidents, plus the articles about him "fire-raising at three farms" in 1941.

Obviously, he'd finished working at the factory by then though.

2️⃣ Next, James may have been involved in some "unbusiness-like methods" at the factory.

Perhaps this would not have come to light if it hadn't been for Harry Ainsworth clocking into his shift early & heading off to Gretna township on the train that time. πŸ™„

One of the members of The Mossband Swifts was Mary Annie Anderson, who appears in the foreground of this beautiful painting.

Forgot my own #WorkerOfTheWeek gimmick!

It's gotta be Shelton Benjamin for that killer #C2 match against Mark Briscoe. Only suffering a loss to Swerve, #AEW really reminded me how great Shelton is by showcasing him on a near-weekly basis. Max Caster was wrong, Shelton is a great fit for AEW 🀼
