S3s are excited to be the first year group in the school to participate in YPI and had lots of questions and ideas!

What better way to make people feel happy and at ease than having dogs at a #YPI Final! Oldmachar Academy’s winning team engaged with the staff at Yogi & Cindy Bears, telling us about the importance of dogs in supporting mental health. The case studies they shared helped persuade the judges!
The lead teacher at Forrester HS was full of praise for the students who organised & hosted this year’s #YPI final! Student led from start to finish and what an event it was. The winners for Edinburgh Women’s Aid captured the judges from the start with a protest chant, then passion & storytelling!
An evening #YPI Final at Earlston High School was full of creativity and inspiring stories & led by two excellent student comperes! The judging panel had a tough decision and awarded Stable Life £3000. Thanks to all the charities who supported young people engaging with them in the last few months!

But there was more joy as joint runners up The Eric Liddell Community and Bravehound received £100 each from the school’s barista enterprise! ☕️🧋👏🏼
Stromness Academy celebrated 10 years of participation in #YPI this year with an incredible final showcase. The judges had an incredibly tough decision to make. Soma’s Light received the £3000 with the team calling the charity funder to tell them the good news!
It was lovely to be in Westray Junior High School last week to celebrate their first #YPI final in 10 years. A real community celebration with the team representing Westray Development Trust winning the £3000.
