I mean, #yacy does work, and then Java decides to make issues and it becomes unresponsive.

experimenting with #yacy today, which is a p2p search engine.
I think I tried it before and it wasn't all that useful, but since then the big #search engines have gone so much to shit now it seems a viable alternative.

Base: Il n'y a que 4 moteurs de recherche, Google, Bing, Yandex et Baidu. Tout le reste, ce sont des interfaces qui se basent dessus avec des paramétrages + ou - protecteurs.
DuckDuckGo se base sur Bing.
J'ai repéré 3 noms fréquemment recommandés: #Ecosia, #Mojeek et #YaCY ...

My #YaCy stopped crawling after an update of the #Docker image. Reason were corrupted owner and rights of /var/lib/docker/volumes/yacy_search_server_data/_data/WORK/robots.bheap.
Without robots.txt table, all start URLs of a crawl returned #HTTP status 404. Meanwhile, the #RSS importer was fine.

@orbiterlab is it possible to configure #YaCy such that it stores far less data? I just need keyword search, but looking at the data it seems like it collects far more than needed for that.
And when I index just my own websites, I feel like it should not take 10 GiB of local storage for the index.
