Two yellow daffodil blooms. They are growing inside soil, over a septic tank cover. A metal Christmas tree skirt acts as a mini raised bed. A single story sage green house is in the background, along with an 8-foot metal raised bed. The raised bed gets the most heat during the summer, and is the bed where I plant heat-loving plants. Last year I grew peppers in this bed. I'll rotate another crop in this year, but haven't yet decided what I will plant there for this year.

🌱 We're beginning to see signs of Spring thanks to the creative placement of a miniature raised bed. I use metal Christmas tree skirts as miniature raised beds on top of the septic tank covers. Plants bloom early, likely due to the warmth generated by the septic tank. #bloomscrolling #garden #zone8b

A bright orange Calendula flower that is blooming on November 10, 2025. The flower has a daisy-like structure with a brown center and orange petals. There are some Calendula buds and seed heads visible in the photo, too.

🌱 It's difficult to see the good right now. People disappoint, but nature blesses us with beauty. This is Calendula, aka Pot Marigold. It is easy to seed. A bloom and a bud of a peachy-pink 'Emily Bronte' shrub rose with green leaves, bred by David C. H. Austin. This rose opens in a pink, peach, apricot tone, as seen in the photo, and develops into a white rose as it ages. The rose is a many petaled rose with an old rose scent.

A peachy-orange rose blossom in front of a white 2-rail fence. The leaves are medium green. Some of the leaves are beginning to show stress and black spot. I will defoliate them at the end of the season and the leaves will come back fresh and beautiful in early spring.

razorback ordered the berry blue paper memo set, a red sheet of seed paper, a green sheet of seed paper and I included a darker green sheet of seed paper from my latest collection.

A white bloom of an 'Iceberg' floribunda rose bush. This rose has medium-to-dark green leaves. The leaves are not as glossy as many rose leaves are. This rose flowers throughout Spring and Summer and is still blooming prolifically on September 21, 2025.

Nearing the end of blooms on my 'Peace' roses for 2025. The center petals are yellow. As the rose opens up, the petals fade to cream with pink edges. The leaves of the 'Peace' rose are deep green. This particular rose is planted next to a cement walkway.
