How many vocab words should pre AP honors students be learning in a week or in a month? My instinct says I need to teach waaaay more vocab. wondering what my fellow #edssky #langchat #actfl24 #iteachwl teachers think?
Still sifting through the wealth of info and resources I got from #ACTFL24. Day 2 was just as amazing as Day 1! The sessions by Joshua Cabral and @grahnforlang.bsky.social were def 2 of the highlights. Always blown away by how much these wonderful colleagues are willing to share!
I am still having flashbacks from #ACTFL24 in Philly, and something that just hit me recently is that awesome feeling of "fanboying" WL folks that I've met for the first time, only to find out that they actually have known of my work for a while! It's such an awesome feeling. 🥰
Attending #ACTFL24 conference in Philadelphia was a truly inspiring experience. 📚 We shared resources tailored for #FrenchTeachers and presented programs like #FrenchForAll & our educational film program #CinéSchool among many others. 🎬

Cooked my butt off, ate well, took my turkey nap, and now sitting here with a cup of tea reflecting on gratitude. With #ACTFL24 less than a week behind me, I’m still freshly grateful for my profession and the wonderful people it put in my life. More to follow…

I am home from #actfl24 with a full heart and mind. It was so great learning from and being surrounded by such brilliant people.

Coping with my #ACTFL24 fomo involved a lovely friend coffee break with delicious snackies, a lot of reading, a little grading, braised chicken thighs with mushrooms, and some Hyacinthe cuddles. It worked pretty well!
Post #ACTFL24- I want to do all the things I learned about- I also want a nap. One of my favorite simple idea but I think it will be a game changer was seeing Cecile Laine do picture talks. She added multiple choice questions to help novices discuss it. 🤯 Would ❤️ to hear other people’s takeaways!

The best thing I did for myself was book a 90 minute deep tissue massage for the day after getting home from #actfl24. My body is exhausted and I can’t wait!
If you ever go to a big conference, consider doing this for yourself!
Went to #ACTFL24 this weekend and made the effort to reconnect with a number of folks I haven't seen in a while. Very satisfying, quite nice. Now about to catch a plane back home, and I have a number of books to keep me company. 😀
