Hope Johnson (QUT) spoke on her team's analysis of responses to Australia's Food Security Inquiry. They found that food security is often framed in productivist terms (the need to produce more) than as a social issue. Hope highlighted people who experience food insecurity were not consulted. #afrn

Great start to #afrn , Melissa Bolt and Aunty Tracey King from Bundjalung Tribal Society spoke about regenerating big scrub rainforests to produce a mix of native and introduced crops in the form of food forests. They use the land for cultural activities and produce the food with a community focus.
