Louisiana residents were warning their neighbors about polluted air—now the state could fine them $1M for doing it Last May, the state passed a law that would fine residents for sharing air quality data that did not meet strict standards.

China Pollution

The government plans to improve #airmonitoring and cut harmful #pollutants like PM2.5 and #ozone. Air #pollution causes around 2 million deaths in China each year, according to the WHO. In 2024, pollution levels dropped, and the number of clean air days rose to 87.2%.
