Five block printed paper ornaments hanging on a tree with multi colored lights. The ornaments are on parchment pattered cardstock in red, green and black ink. They are a cone at the bottom and the tops are multiple “petals” held together at the tips to create a rounded top. The block print is a simple floral and filigree pattern.

four enveloped laid out in a square, each envelop has a black linoprint of several types of mushrooms spread out along it's bottom edge. parts of the mushrooms have been painted in with watercolors.

November's #mailArt for supporters was a hand painted, mushroomy #linoprint!

this one was especially fun to design, print, and then hand paint!

four prints laid out on a tabletop, two on larger cream colored paper and two on slightly smaller white paper. the print is the same as the blocks above, but the ink has not transferred evenly and the words are distinctly patchy

not happy with how these came out - these are the best of the batch.
I usually make small prints, so not has this problem before, but the water based ink seemed to be drying too quickly.

I think i need to try the oil based ink next time.

The same Lino block in the previous posts, all the blank spots have been carved away and smoothed, and the edges have been trimmed to contour around the design Next to it is a frayed purple toothbrush and a pink interchangeable carving tool and tips sitting under a rather large pile of linoleum shavings

Done carving!
Now to give it a wash, then hopefully making prints tomorrow

Eight sheets of white paper with black block prints on them, they are: a bunny reading, a filigree wyvern, a grumpy looking wyvern lik creture forming a circle with its head/neck and tail, a horned, fancy and stuck up looking wyvern with a long curled tail, a happy smiling wyvern like creature looking over its shoulder, an offended looking wyvern with wings extended and and flames coming from its mouth with a a second smaller and astonished head on its tail, an oroboros made of two wyverns biting each others tails, one black and one white, and a small, dainty, and concerned looking wyvern with feathery wings and a curled tail flying with one paw extended as if to pat someone on the shoulder

Some more weird little guys i finally got around to printing up last night.

haven’t been able to pull out the printing supplies, but can’t stop carving & have ended up with a bit of a backlog…

(Let’s not mention the drawings I still have to transfer, or the manuscripts bookmarked at the digital collections from the Bodlian, Morgan & British libraries)

I really like the smell of linoleum.
the pink rubber linoleum substitute didn't really have much of a smell, and the grey was oddly...sweet, but wrong.

but linoleum just smells...woody? and warm nice.
